The Weber Q100 Grill - Why I Love This Little Grill

I have a confession to make... I am in love with a new grill. OK so it's not serious but I feel the need to blog about it so here it goes. The Weber q100 grill is one of my new toys and I have to say that I am really enjoying it. I have never been much for portable gas grills because most of them are not very well made and they have a tendency to fall apart after a year or two. After reading a good Weber Q100 review and actually buying the q100, I don't think I will have that problem.

The reason for this is because the q100 is made out of cast aluminum which is pretty durable. I am a machinist by trade and know my metals and although aluminum is a very soft material, it is also very strong and very light. I am pretty sure that if I drop this grill on the floor or something, it will still be ok. I don't plan on doing that anytime soon, but you never know what will happen.

I guess the best thing about this grill is the fact that is is very portable. I can take it with me when I go camping or to the beach and still use it at home. I actually have a few other Weber grills but this is the one I use the most. While I love cooking over charcoal, it does get a little expensive after a while. I used to go through a bag of charcoal in about a week and at almost nine dollars a bag, that can add up pretty quickly. A 20 LB tank of propane will last me all summer and does not cost nearly as much as charcoal does. I still love to cook over charcoal though!

Anyway, the Weber q100 is perfect for what I need it for and I have gotten a lot of use out of it. You can find out more about it and read the full Weber q100 review at http;//www.squidoo.com/weber-q100-review
